Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Minimally invasive endovascular treatment represents an area of great innovation allowing for the safe and effective treatment of the majority of acute and chronic arterial diseases.
However, despite advancements in technical skills and an improved ability to anticipate complications, endovascular surgery remains susceptible to early and late postoperative complications, failures, and challenges.
By shedding light on the principles of postoperative care and complications management, this Special Issue of Annali Italiani di Chirurgia aims to prepare vascular specialists (and, in general, all healthcare professionals) with the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively address these issues.
Through comprehensive exploration of topics such as early and late complication recognition, tailored postoperative care strategies, and innovative management approaches, this Special Issue endeavors to advance the field of vascular surgery, and to improve patients’ outcomes.
